Special care has been provided to respect the old appearance of the building, moreover the demolition of some devastating "superfetazioni" has been performed to bring back to the splendor of the 1935 original project.
Laboratory analysis of the paints and plasters have been performed to reproduce the same aspect of the walls, windows and doors.
All work is performed with the goals of reach the Silver LEED certification of susteinability. All mechanical, elctrical and special systems have been replaced with more efficient systems.

Design-Build project awarded to the JV LAGECO–GEMMO, for site preparation of the Niscemi
Communication base to receive a new satellite antenna system that will support the new global UHF satellite communication program.
Project includes site levelling and grading with accurate anti-erosion measures,
three concrete buildings each supporting an 18m diameter antenna, a 1000kVA transformer station,
two 1000kVA diesel generators, a fire pump station and three kms of power and fiber optic underground duct banks and water pipes.
The project provides for two new facilities: one for the inspection of ammunitions and another for stuffing/unstuffing
of containers rom and to tractortrailers. The design includes also sustainable design concepts,
evaluation of environmental incidence and blast analysis of the Ammunition Inspection building
(structure designed to resist the effects of internal explosion).
